Autumn / Winter 2009-10 He is now more kind and caring to others and works better in a group. TA This group worked well together and we got to know the children really well, we now know how to best support them in the classroom. TA I liked learning how to get friends, we learnt not to steal how the puppets did - we showed them what to do right. I'd give it 10/10. Child I like it when I help people up now, when they fall over. I liked playing with the puppets and we said they had to be kind with each other. Child Every day I bring a certificate home Mum is so proud of me. Child He is more confident within the group. He is now very talkative, generating good ideas. Teacher He is a lot more confident - he tries a lot harder and will take part in more activities. In 6s & 7s he seemed to open up a lot more telling you situations and things that had happened to him. I think this has helped his whole well-being - he's a lot happier and he seems to be able to approach adults a lot better. TA |
He was an "invisible" child - you would forget he was there - but 6s & 7s has really helped. His conduct within the class has improved because he joins in. He will get his point across, although it may take him a little time. He tries harder at his learning and will ask questions whereas before he was "lost". TA My daughter is a lot more confident and is not as shy as she was. Her questioning skills are amazing as she listens very attentively and gives strong answers. Sometimes I am speechless! Parent Spring 2010 Dear Angela, Just to let you know that we have today completed our data on our first group of children. We are due to start on our second group next Monday. We are both delighted at the results and are looking forward to the next 6 weeks. Looking forward to seeing you at our accreditation. Regards, D & A All children showed significant improvement from the start. Staff all felt this was due to the dedication, enthusiasm and hard work of our two TAs. The whole program was deemed such a success that a further 2 more cohorts will take part in the sessions. 1 cohort from year 2 and another cohort from year 3. |
